I made these doll bootees to fit dolls with a 6.5cm foot. I used as a basis this pattern from Repeat Crafter Me and adapted it to fit a much smaller foot. Below I have written my version of the pattern in UK crochet terms.
The yarn I used was Stylecraft Special DK in pomegranate and cream for one pair and sage and cream for the other pair.
Note: Always begin your rounds in the same stitch as your chain.
In rounds 2, 3, 10 & 11 you will end your rounds in the same stitch as your chain. So technically you will be adding an extra stitch to each round.
Chain 8, DC in 2nd chain from hook, DC in next 5, make 5 DC in the last chain
Now working on opposite side, DC 6, join, ch 2.
Round 2: HTR, 2 HTR, HTR in next 4, 2 HTR in next 2, HTR in next 2, 2 HTR in next 2, HTR in next 4, 2 HTR, HTR in last, join, ch 1.
Round 3: DC 8, 2 DC in next 2, 2 HTR in next 5, 2 DC in next 2, DC in next 8, join, ch 1.
Round 4: DC around, join, ch 1. (34 DC)
Round 5: DC around, join, ch 1. (34 DC)
Round 6: DC 9, [DC decrease, DC in next 2] 4 times, DC 9, join, ch 1.
Round 7: DC 11, DC decrease, DC, DC decrease, DC, DC decrease, DC 11, join, ch 1.
Round 8: DC 7, 6 DC decreases, DC 8, join, ch 1.
Round 9: DC 7, 3 DC decreases, DC 8, join, ch 2.
Round 10: TR 19, join, chain 2
Round 11: TR 20, join, chain 2
Round 12: TR 20, join, fasten off
Round 13: With inside facing, DC around in new color, join, ch 1. (20 DC)
Round 14: Scallops – miss stitch under chain, *miss next DC, 5TR in next DC, miss next DC, slip stitch in next DC* repeat until end
fasten off and weave in loose ends.
Fold over cuff (rounds 12-14)
