The finished blanket measures 63cm square. I used a 4mm hook and Stylecraft Special DK in the following colours and amounts:
- White = 72g
- Cloud Blue = 77g
- Aster = 127g
There are 25 squares. Follow rounds 1 to 5 of the Front Post Granny Square Tutorial here. Round 1 & 2 in white, round 3 & 4 in cloud blue and round 5 in aster.
Join squares in aster in the continuous join method (see my Youtube video here).
Then join white again and work 2 rounds as a normal granny square. For the shell pattern on the final round work 9 trebles in the corners, then slip stitch into the next space and 6 trebles in the next space all the way round.
